Shahid Kapoor To Reportedly Collaborate With Shashank Khaitan For His Next Film

Shahid Kapoor‘s last film, Kabir Singh, was a huge success at the box office. While the actor will be next seen in Jersey, Shahid has reportedly signed on another project. He is set to collaborate with the Dhadak director, Shashank Khaitan for an action film titled, Yoddha.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, a source close to the development said that Karan Johar and Shahid were planning to do a film together for a long time now, but were not getting the right script. Previously, there was major talk about the actor stepping into the shoes of Brigadier Farookh Bulsara for a film based on the Maldives Mission. But now, Karan has reportedly signed the Kabir Singh actor for Shashank Khaitan’s next which is touted to be an action film. It is expected to go on floors early next year after Shahid wraps up Jersey. The report also suggests that the official announcement of the film is expected to happen soon.

Coming to Jersey, the film is adapted from the 2019 Telugu-language film of the same name. Helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the movie will also star Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
