We’ve not had many reasons to rejoice with Covid-19, but with it, everyone began to put comfort on a pedestal. The rightful pedestal it deserves, thus giving rise to the athleisure trend. Never did we think Bollywood would take to it with such passion. Needless to say, they’ve been acing each and every athletic look with effortless ease. The key to nailing one these looks is to keep it simple but opting for statement accessories. Scroll on to see how some of these ever so stylish celebrities show us their take on comfort dressing.
Katrina Kaif looks spunky in the all-pink sweatshirt combo. This matching bubble-gum pink co-ord set from 7 Days Active is soft and perfect to travel in. The athleisure trend is all about mixing sporty looks that are comfortable. She accessorises her look with white sneakers. I really wish she had rolled her sleeves up because that would added some shapelyness to her form.
Alaya wears a cut out crop top with long sleeves in black over a black sports bra to her gym session. She wears grey work out shorts and beige chunky sneakers. If you don’t channel athleisure to the gym then where else would you? Doesn’t she look cute?
Disha Patani oscialtes between the tomboy in her and her feminine side effortlessly, no? She is definitely the queen of athleisure. I have never seen anyone pull off basketball shorts and an oversized tee better than her. For this particular look she wears a blue sweatshirt co-ord set just like Katrina. Even though she left he sleeves relaxed, she made sure to tuck the bottom of her sweatshirt into her sports bra. This adds shape and adds an interesting styling touch. I love that her socks are seen, she further accessories with Adidas white Superstars, Ray Ban sunglasses and a blue Louis Vuitton sling bag.
Tie-dye has also been a popular trend this season, apart from athleisure. Janhvi Kapoor channels both trends effortlessly with her blue and white co-ord set. She also wears her look with sneakers, an Off-White black Saffiano leather shoulder bag and tiny gold hoops.
Malaika Arora’s off duty style is all about that athleisure lifestly and gym clothes. For this look she wears a grey Ivy Park gunjee with a lighter grey sports bra under. She pairs this look with darker grey leggins. The look itself is quite nice, however I do wish she would not have worn it with those tan boots. It just feels entirely off, but those boots are hot and would have looked great on any other outfit. She carries her
Huma Qureshi wears a pink sweatshirt with cupid embossed on it. Frankly I have been loving Huma’s athleisure sets. She really seems to be having fun with this trend and it fully shows. Huma styles her look with straight fit, boot cut gym pants and pink sneakers. For accessories she opts for oversized Tony Stark style sunglasses and a pink, quilted bumbag.
When Kiara does athleisure, it is always a more OTT take on trend. I really love how she manges to make all her ensembles look chic and luxe. She simply wears and oversized black hoodie, but pulls her hair into a tight high ponytails. Wears oversized dark sunglasses and accessorises it further with boots. A classic black and white tote adds to the polish of this look.
Alia Bhatts look is a more down-played version of the athleisure trend. This is the perfect example of the trend for when you wish to keep it balanced. Alia wears a pink Gucci sweatshirt with skinny jeans and a pair of pink, chunky sneakers. Frankly I really like this look and it’s probably something I would wear to the movies once things resume.
I really love this happy and fun look on Nushrat. She wears an oversized yellow sweatshirt with shorts. This just looks so comfy and cute. I love that she paired it with pastel Nike sneakers and a nude bumbag that she wears across her chest. She nails the comfy athleisure trend with a look at you could almost wear to bed but totally works for coffee as well. Love it!
