Because life has been so hard lately, it is only natural that most of us are drowning in negativity. The news, world events our personal battles all add to this potpourri of negative emotions. But often time because of all this noise we forget that we have everything we need to thrive in life. There’s a roof over our heads, there’s food on the table and we’re surrounded by people that love us. However, our antidote is gratitude. It is the act of expressing appreciation for everything we have in life
Being grateful can transform you. It can save you from the dark hole we find ourselves being sucked into and gives us a sense of purpose and happiness. Being grateful makes way for many good things in life. Some mentioned below:
My cat—she is the funniest creature ever and everything she does make me laugh out loud.
Food—is there anything more comforting than a good meal?
My 30th birthday—an unforgettable night filled with my favourite people.
Adventure—I recently had the opportunity to see adventure put my spirit and body to the test and I couldn’t have been more happy.
Proving that honest people are good people has always been a huge challenge because off the bat people find the truth hard to swallow.
Animals—have you seen anything more beautiful? their colours, patterns, their souls?
My attention to detail—really saves me at work and even in relationships.
My empathy—Nothing makes me happier than the fact that I am able to make people feel comforted in my presence.
Jobs—I love the idea of changing jobs and roles, challenging myself and learning something new truly brings me joy.
Water—Nothing replenishes me like water.
Wot! this exercise really put things in perspective for me and I know going forward I have so much to be happy for #Blessed. Hopefully, you too will feel the same way after too.
